Threads API rejects posts with more than five links
What changed
Meta announced on December 8, 2025 that Threads posts containing more than five links would fail. From December 22, 2025, such requests return THREADS_API__LINK_LIMIT_EXCEEDED.
What it means
Apps publishing to Threads must keep each post to five links or fewer and handle the THREADS_API__LINK_LIMIT_EXCEEDED error.
