Business Profile v4.9 reportInsights discontinued in favour of the Performance API
What changed
Google's Business Profile deprecation schedule lists accounts.locations.reportInsights (v4.9) with support ended on 2022-11-21 and discontinuation on 2023-03-30. Metrics such as VIEWS_SEARCH, ACTIONS_WEBSITE and ACTIONS_PHONE map to new Performance API metrics. localPosts.reportInsights, the photo metrics and MediaInsights were discontinued on 2023-02-20 with no replacement. The page does not give an announcement date, so the first date is the support ended date.
What it means
Location insights calls through the old v4.9 reportInsights method return errors, so reporting tools must use the Performance API.

Developers of tools that report Google Business Profile views, calls and direction requests.
What to do by 30 Mar 2023
Use locations.fetchMultiDailyMetricsTimeSeries in the Performance API v1. The deadline was 30 March 2023 for reportInsights and 20 February 2023 for localPosts.reportInsights and MediaInsights.
