Breaking LinkedIn Severity: medium
LinkedIn Comments and Reactions APIs change fields in version 202307
What changed
The July 2023 changelog replaces the $URN field with id in the Comments and Reactions APIs and the digitalmediaAsset field with image in the Comments API. The MAYBE reaction is no longer supported and any write using it is rejected with a 400 error.
What it means
From version 202307 the MAYBE reaction is rejected with a 400 error, and the $URN and digitalmediaAsset fields are replaced by id and image.
Who is affected
Tools that read or write comments and reactions on LinkedIn posts, such as social inboxes.
What to do
When moving to version 202307 or later, read the id field instead of $URN, use image instead of digitalmediaAsset, and stop sending the MAYBE reaction.
