X API repriced writes and owned reads, removed follow and like endpoints from self-serve

What changed

From April 20, 2026, reading your own data on qualifying endpoints costs $0.001 per resource, creating a post costs $0.015 and a post containing a URL costs $0.20, while summoned replies stay at $0.01. Following, Likes and Quote-Posts through the API were removed from all self-serve tiers.

What it means

Self-serve apps that post links or use follow, like or quote-post endpoints must re-check costs and remove those features.
