Trial Reels publishing and media deletion added to the Instagram API
What changed
The create media endpoint accepts an optional trial_params object for publishing Trial Reels. A new DELETE /{ig_media_id} call removes posts, carousels, reels and stories from the user's account. The same release added insights metrics such as reels_skip_rate, reposts and crossposted_views.
What it means
Schedulers can publish Trial Reels with trial_params and delete posts, carousels, reels and stories with DELETE /{ig_media_id}, which needs instagram_manage_contents.
