Overview

Blotato describes itself as a social media API and MCP server for publishing, scheduling and managing posts across nine platforms: X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest. The homepage also mentions comment replies, direct messages and analytics.

A large part of the pitch is content generation. It says it can produce infographics, carousels, image slideshows, quote and tweet cards, and AI-avatar videos with generated B-roll, and can turn sources such as YouTube links, TikTok videos, X posts, articles, PDFs, audio and raw text into posts.

For automation, the page lists a hosted MCP server for assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, a REST API, and official n8n and Make nodes. The 7-day free trial excludes the API and MCP server, and includes 60 AI credits, so you can't test the automation side without paying.

Everything on the pricing page is shown without a billing toggle, so I treat the prices as monthly and have no annual figure.

What it does well

The API is included even on the $29 Starter plan.
Starter allows 20 social accounts, which is a high count at the entry price.
It can turn links, PDFs and videos into posts.

What to watch out for

There is no free plan.
The trial leaves out the API and MCP server.

Blotato bills by plan tier, with accounts and AI credits as the levers. Starter is $29 a month for 20 social accounts and 1,250 credits, with the API. Creator is $97 for 40 accounts and 5,000 credits. Agency is $499 for everything in Creator, 28,000 credits and a dedicated support channel. Nothing is priced per seat on the page. The step from $29 to $97 roughly quadruples credits and doubles accounts, so the credit allowance, and how fast you burn it on video and image generation, is the thing to estimate before choosing.
