Overview

Mixpost is scheduling software you can run on your own server or use as a hosted service. The homepage calls it open source and self-hosted, with a Cloud option, and lists Docker, a Laravel package or manual installation for deploying it. It has a calendar in monthly and weekly views, a queue with time slots, a media library, hashtag groups, templates and analytics.

It also lists an engagement inbox for comments and mentions, team collaboration, an approval workflow and client review. Video scheduling covers Reels, Shorts and TikTok. There is an API and MCP, and the homepage says it supports 12 networks. Our list shows 11 of them, with Pixelfed also supported on Pro and Enterprise.

The editions matter. Lite is free and open source but limited to Facebook Pages, X and Mastodon, with community support. The wider network list applies to Pro, Enterprise and Cloud, not Lite. Pro and Enterprise are one-time licenses where renewal only extends updates, and a perpetual fallback license keeps the purchased version usable. Cloud is the hosted route, with a 7-day trial that needs a card.
