Bloggers and shops for whom Pinterest is the main traffic channel.
Skip it if you need any network besides Pinterest, because the current pricing page sells Pinterest tools only, and scheduling is metered by credits (300 per month on the scheduling product, extra 100 for $10).
Overview
Tailwind used to be a Pinterest and Instagram tool, and the pricing page now sells Pinterest only. The vendor's plans article says the per-account products launched on 25 September 2026, and that Instagram and Facebook scheduling survives only on legacy plans. If you read an older review that praises Tailwind for Instagram, treat it as describing something the pricing page no longer sells. That is why I record Pinterest alone.
The structure is closer to a metered utility than a flat scheduler. Scheduling, SEO and Engagement are separate products per Pinterest account, and each has a monthly credit allowance: 300 on scheduling, 50 each on SEO and Engagement, 400 on the bundle. A scheduled Pin costs 1 credit. Ghostwriter and a keyword search cost 1 each, SmartPin costs 3 or 7, and a Turbo boost costs 7, 12 or 15 depending on whether it runs 30, 60 or 90 days. The help center suggests about 1 to 5 fresh Pins a day, which is 30 to 150 credits for scheduling alone, so 300 is comfortable until you lean on SmartPin and Ghostwriter as well.
Two things in the vendor's own pages do not line up cleanly. The pricing page says free sign-up needs no card but does not say what the free tier holds, while the help center describes a one-time trial allowance (10 scheduled Pins, 5 SmartPins, 5 Ghostwriter uses, 5 keyword searches, 3 Turbo boosts) and a legacy Free plan with small monthly credits. Separately, the Bundle is shown at $29.98 a month on annual billing, yet the page text also mentions $180 a year for it, which I cannot reconcile with that monthly figure. I'd check the checkout total before buying the bundle.
On trust, the privacy policy was last modified in 2018 and still cites Privacy Shield, and the pages I have show no SOC 2, SSO or status page. The vendor does state that it publishes through Pinterest's official API and is an official Pinterest Marketing Partner. Trustpilot shows 3 out of 5 from 304 reviews.
What it does well
- The scope matches how a blog or shop uses Pinterest: keyword research, Pin creation and scheduling sit under one vendor, and SmartPin can generate a fresh Pin for a URL every 7 days.
- Sync with Shopify, WordPress and Squarespace, plus SmartPins built from a blog RSS feed, suits a site that publishes new pages regularly.
- Pin Spacing stops Pins with the same URL going out back to back, which the help center frames as account safety.
- Collaborators are unlimited on current plans, with Admin and Viewer roles and an approval step for Viewer posts.
- Bulk handling is decent: CSV import of Pins, up to 100 images at once and bulk scheduling from the Drafts Library.
What to watch out for
- It is Pinterest only now, so Instagram or Facebook in the same dashboard means a legacy plan rather than anything the pricing page sells.
- Included credits refresh each period and do not carry over, and only purchased refill credits roll over.
- Each Pinterest account has its own subscription and credits, so a second brand is a second bill.
- SmartSchedule's time zone applies to the whole dashboard and cannot differ per account, and Pin Spacing only sees schedules made inside Tailwind.
- There is no refund for early cancellation, all subscriptions auto renew, and the help center does not state analytics history length, report export or competitor tracking.

Every figure is per Pinterest account. Scheduling is $29.99 monthly or $17.99 on annual billing, SEO and Engagement are $14.99 or $11.99 each, and the bundle is $44.98 or $29.98. The entry price stops being true once you want anything beyond plain scheduling: keyword research is a separate product with only 50 credits, and a second Pinterest account is a second subscription with its own credits. Scheduling credits refresh each period and do not carry over, so a quiet month is simply lost. A pack of 100 extra credits costs $10 and rolls over until used. Auto-refill is off by default for accounts started on or after 20 August 2026 and is capped at 3 charges per account per rolling 30 days. Early cancellation gets no refund.
