Overview
YouTube Studio is Google's creator dashboard, and its help article walks through scheduling an upload. You start a new upload from the Create menu, choose the file, fill in the details, open the Schedule option and pick a publish date, time and time zone. The video has to be set to private or scheduled on the upload page before you can set a time.
To change a scheduled time later, visibility must be Private. You open the draft editor and pick a new time under Schedule. The article states no cap on how many videos you can schedule or how far ahead.
Two details are worth knowing. The Published on date on the watch page uses Pacific Standard Time, so creators in time zones ahead of it may see a different date than Studio shows. And if the account has a Community Guidelines strike, a scheduled video will not publish during the penalty period: it is set to private and you reschedule it after. Google's help page states no price and does not call the tool free, so my notes have no figure and no free plan is claimed. The page lists no plans, seats or channel tiers, so there is no ladder to describe. The only place cost could come from is the time you spend on the rules above, such as rescheduling after a strike. Whether the tool is free is not something the page I read says either way.
