How to schedule Google Business Profile posts

Google Business Profile now lets you schedule posts and repeat them weekly or monthly. Step by step, the rules for unverified profiles, and API access for tools.

Facts checked 25 Oct 2026

The short version

Google Business Profile schedules posts natively. You can also make a post repeat weekly, monthly or on a custom schedule, and share one post to several profiles at once. Google doesn't state how far ahead you can schedule.

Schedule a post

  1. On your Business Profile, select Posts, then Add post.
  2. Choose Update, Offer or Event and add the details.
  3. Turn on Schedule this post and choose the date and time.
  4. To repeat it, use the Repeats menu.

Where posts appear and how long they last

Posts show in the Updates or Overview tabs on mobile Search and Maps, and in the "From the owner" section on a computer. Posts from an unverified profile stay pending and don't appear at all. Posts are archived after 6 months unless you set a date range.

To edit or delete a published post, open Posts on the profile and use the More menu next to it.

What schedulers can do through the API

  • Scheduling is supported. A tool can set a publish time on a post, which waits in a scheduled state until then. Since April 2026, the API can also create recurring posts.
  • Access must be approved. A tool's developer applies for API access, and Google only approves businesses whose profile has been verified and active for 60+ days and that have a website.

Check which schedulers publish to Google Business Profile on the Google Business Profile hub.
