How to schedule LinkedIn posts (profiles and Pages)

LinkedIn has a built-in scheduler for personal profiles and company Pages, up to 3 months ahead. Step by step, plus what it can't schedule.

Facts checked 25 Oct 2026

The short version

LinkedIn's own scheduler works for both personal profiles and company Pages, up to 3 months ahead, for free. You only need a tool if you want LinkedIn in the same calendar as your other networks, or need to schedule a format LinkedIn won't (see below).

Schedule a post from your profile

  1. On desktop, click Start a post. On mobile, tap Post.
  2. Write your post, then click the Clock icon.
  3. Pick a date and time, at least 10 minutes and at most 3 months away.
  4. Click Next, then Schedule.

LinkedIn's help articles disagree on exactly where the Clock icon sits, so look for the clock in the composer rather than a particular corner.

See, edit or move scheduled posts

Open the Create a post window, click the Clock icon, then View all scheduled posts (on mobile: View all). On any post, open More, then choose Modify schedule or Edit post.

Schedule a post on a LinkedIn Page

Super admins and content admins can schedule Page posts, and newsletter articles, from 1 hour to 3 months ahead. Admins can see, edit, reschedule and delete posts that other admins scheduled.

What LinkedIn won't schedule

  • Personal profiles: events and jobs.
  • Pages: events, posts with multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs and service posts.

A scheduled Page post also can't be promoted through Campaign Manager until it has been published.

When a scheduler is worth it

If LinkedIn is your only network, the built-in scheduler is enough. A scheduler earns its place when you post the same idea to LinkedIn, X, Threads and others, and want one calendar instead of five. LinkedIn posts allow 3,000 characters: the character counter checks a draft against LinkedIn and every other network at once.

Questions people ask

How far ahead can I schedule a LinkedIn post?

Up to 3 months. Personal posts need to be at least 10 minutes in the future, Page posts at least 1 hour.

Where do I find my scheduled LinkedIn posts?

Open the Create a post window, click the Clock icon, then View all scheduled posts. From there you can modify the schedule or edit the post.

Can I schedule a LinkedIn poll?

Not on a LinkedIn Page: polls, events, multi-photo posts, reshares, jobs and service posts can't be scheduled there. On personal profiles, LinkedIn says events and jobs can't be scheduled.
